A small piece of the map
Yarra Valley organised State Series event 7 in the forest near Lake Eppalock on Sunday August 18th. The weather forecast for the weekend was awful, and organiser Belinda Dale and Course-setter Russell Bulman feared a repeat of the 2011 event in the same area when it rained all day. However, it was not to be, as the rain held off until late on Sunday afternoon when everyone had finished their courses and all the equipment was packed away (dry) in the club’s trailer. Almost 150 people enjoyed their courses in the open and gently undulating forest, and some fast times were recorded by the elite runners on the 9.7km course.
