A large number of Yarra Valley members travelled to Chewton for the 2018 long-distance championships on 16 September. The terrain contained much old gold-mining activity and enough hills to get the muscles pumping. YV ended up with 14 members in the placings at the presentations at the finish:
1st Place: Moira Kuffer (W21A), Heather O’Donnell (W35AS), Sheila Colls (W65), Ruth Goddard (W70), Callum White (M14), Ted van Geldermalsen (M60), Barry Smapson (M80).
2nd Place: Brody McCarthy (M17-20), Blair Trewin (M45).
3rd Place: Jocelyn Watts (W45AS), Margi Freemantle (W60), Kathy Liley (W70), Artem Osmerkin (M40), Russell Bulman (M60).
